Maintenance Automation

Preventive maintenance is key to extending the life of your assets and reducing downtime. Invy helps you automate these workflows so nothing falls through the cracks.
Types of Maintenance
- Scheduled (Preventive): Routine tasks based on time intervals (e.g., “Monthly HVAC filter change”).
- On-Demand (Corrective): Repairs triggered by a user reporting damage or failure.
Setting Up a Schedule
To automate a recurring maintenance task:
- Go to the Maintenance page.
- Click Create Schedule.
- Select the target Item or specific Asset.
- Define the frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Annual).
- Assign a priority and an optional team member to be notified.
Resolving Tasks
When a maintenance task is due, it will appear on the Maintenance Dashboard. Technicians can:
- Start Task: Mark the task as in-progress.
- Add Notes: Document the work performed.
- Resolve: Close the task and record the resolution date (and any associated costs).
Invy automatically updates the asset’s history and schedules the NEXT occurrence based on your settings.
